Color Pencils: my Crayola Twistable Crayons and Color Pencils (I also have the regular ones). They provide a vivid colorful print and I like how easy it is to cover large areas with it. I also use Paint Dabbers, Acrylic Paint, Markers, and the Crayola Twistable Slick Stixs.
Pens: I like to use those on the picture and my ultimate favorite is the Sharpie Pen 'cause it does not fade when I erase over them.
Paint/Color Pencils: the Slick Stix from Crayola are a great alternative to paint and watercolor, but only if you are working on a large area. The point of the stix is large so it would be almost impossible to use in smaller areas. The good: vivid colors, no bleed thru, does not transfer to the other pages or your hands, and no dry time.
Watercolors: I've tried various watercolor sets, like two they sell at Michael's (Artist's Loft Watercolor Set and the Prang Oval), the one at Five Below, two I found at Target, and the Crayola Watercolor. Of this cheap ones my favorite is the Crayola (surprise ha?) it does not leave a chalky residue like the other ones and the colors are great. That was until I bought the Koi Watercolor set from Sakura: I'm in love!! the colors are extremely vivid, no chalky residue, and it have more options (of course you can blend them to make the desired color)...
Stickers: all sizes, all themes. My favorites for my fauxbonichi are the 1 dollar booklets, they have a lot of stickers and they come in all kind of themes and events. I got mine from Michael's and AC Moore.
Stamps and Ink Pads: these in the photo are from the dollar spot at Michael's, Walmart, and Joann's. The ink pads are from Michael's, at least on my journal I have to be careful of which one I use, 'cause some of them bleed thru.
Printables: these are super versatile, you can print whatever from the internet. For me at least there's days I'm kind of lazy and don't want to draw at all, that's when my printable collection come to play. This ones I found on Pinterest under Zetty Collage Printables.
Washi Tape: all sizes, all designs. Like them all!!
Templates: they come on a variety of sizes and styles. The alphabets are from Michael's and the other colorful ones I order on Amazon.
Paints: you can use whatever acrylic paint, and depending on the book you use, alcohol paints and stains also. On my MiquelRius journal I use acrylic paint dabbers (alcohol ink bleed thru a lot!), I haven't tried the Tim Holtz distress ink dabbers, but I think they would be fine. I've also tried the cheap acrylic paints they sale at Walmart, Michael's and AC Moore.
This are just my essentials basically, I'm no expert. This are MY favorite essentials.
Thanks for watching and reading!!!
